   A $200 deposit is collected at the time of reservation. Deposit will be returned along with kittens registration papers after MountHood receives proof of spay/neuter between 5-7 months of age.

The terms of the sale of the above cat/kitten are:

1. The cattery guarantees that the kitten/cat is free from genetic defects and in good health. The cattery will replace a kitten/cat that dies of genetic defects for 1 year ONLY upon receipt of an appropriate necropsy report. 

  All health problems/veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the buyer after one [1] week.

It is recommended that your kitten/cat be examined by your LICENSED veterinarian within that period. If the kitten/cat is found by your veterinarian to be  medically deficient in any way, a refund will be provided minus the non-refundable deposit amount of $500. The cattery must be notified within ten{10] days of diagnosis of any problems: failure to notify the cattery voids the health guarantee..NO MONETARY REFUNDS OR OTHER COMPENSATION WILL BE GIVEN WITHOUT RETURN  OF THE KITTEN TO THE BREEDER. 

A partial refund MAY be provided at the breeders discretion { with return of kitten/cat} within one [1] month of purchase for non-documented medical or other reasons. 

2. All kittens/cats are sold with one month free health insurance. It is highly recommended that the buyer take advantage of this insurance.

3. This kitten/cat is up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations. 

4. DECLAWING THIS KITTEN/CAT IS FORBIDDEN. Declawing is a mutilating and extremely painful procedure, which provides no health benefit to the cat. If it is discovered that the kitten/cat has been declawed without the express written consent of MountHood cattery for documented  medical reasons for the kitten/cat, at any time during the life of the cat, legal action may be pursued against the buyer.

5. This kitten/cat may not be sold, leased, given or transferred to any pet store, research facility, humane society, SPCA, shelter or similar facility, without the cattery being given the right to purchase the cat for the sum of $1.00. Any person who improperly receives the cat covered by this agreement does so subject to the right of the cattery to claim the cat.

6. If the buyer no longer wishes to keep the kitten/cat for any reason, at any time, they agree to offer the cattery first refusal to have the kitten/cat back for the sum of $1.00. The cattery must 

exercise the first refusal within fifteen [15] days of receipt of written that the buyer no longer wishes to keep the kitten/cat. 

7. The buyer agrees to keep the kitten/cat indoors at all times, unless on a leash, in a carrier, or in a suitable protected enclosure with supervision.
